Forty years of experience working in operations and finance, including over twenty years managing and monitoring venture capital investments for Bank of America and other institutional investors.
Since 2015, also involved in impact investing as a member of the core team and board member for the DFW Lion’s Den Venture Capital Conference, an organization that identifies, prepares, and strategically directs companies that have a “quadruple bottom-line” (economic, social, environmental, spiritual) with emphasis on management teams that bring Christian Kingdom principles to running their businesses as a first requirement. Starting in 2016, the DFW Lion’s Den has sponsored eight events showcasing over eighty companies in their efforts to raise early-stage capital, with almost half successfully raising new funds. In addition to board and core team responsibilities, was made a part of the paid staff in the role of Director of Operations in October 2023.
Earned an MBA from Columbia University Graduate School of Business (June 1975), and a BA in Economics and Social Studies cum laude from Denison University (June 1973). Also earned CPA certification (now inactive) in the state of Texas (October 1983).
MINISTRY
Currently serving on three ministry boards acting as Secretary/Treasurer for two. Previously served on three ministry boards and executive committees including the largest prison ministry in the U.S.
